Hardware Bottleneck in Computer Vision

The current bottleneck in computer vision is related to hardware limitations. Improving hardware, such as with Lidar or Stereo cameras, could solve many problems in scene reconstruction. The author questions if software improvements have diminishing returns and if hardware upgrades are necessary for more stable results.
