Designing a Reliable and Functional 3D Printed Utility Blade
The challenge involves creating a 3D printed utility blade that can reliably open and retract without using springs or other hardware. The designer had to ensure that the blade wouldn't accidentally engage when in a pocket and would securely lock in place when extended. Achieving a satisfying 'thocky' feel and sound during retraction was also a key challenge.
