Reliability issues in AI-generated infrastructure configurations
The analysis of 473 K8s/TF files from major OSS projects revealed 229 legitimate reliability issues, including missing or broken readiness/liveness probes, timeout chain mismatches, and a lack of high availability defaults. These issues can lead to silent outages and significant costs. The problems are attributed to the limitations of AI-generated infrastructure and the need for more robust reliability patterns.
