Ensuring Safety of Humanoid Robots in Shared Human Environments
Current humanoid robots require continuous control to remain upright and pose new safety risks compared to traditional industrial robots. Existing safety methods for industrial robots, such as physical barriers or defined operating zones, do not directly apply to humanoid robots. This limitation hinders the deployment of humanoid robots in dynamic environments where humans and robots operate simultaneously.
