Transforming Water Research through Ancestral Knowledge
The current scientific approach to water research, rooted in a positivist paradigm, has historically supported state-led development and colonial expansion. This legacy has led to water being viewed primarily as a resource to be measured and extracted, overlooking diverse ways of knowing and relating to water. This narrow perspective limits our understanding and governance of water resources.
