Accelerating Dissolution of Magnesium Alloys in High-Temperature KCl Solutions

The dissolution of a magnesium alloy ball in 3% KCl at 93°C results in a significant cumulative weight loss of 66.29% after 24 hours. However, the rate and extent of dissolution may not be optimal for certain applications. There is a need to better understand and control the dissolution process to improve performance and reliability.
