Detecting and Mitigating Anomalous Port Scanning Activity on LAN

A Windows 11 machine is port scanning other machines on the LAN at high port ranges (53000-63000) via SMB, with no clear indication of malware or ongoing activity. The scan was brief, limited to 16 ports across two separate machines. Existing security measures, including Defender, have not detected anything suspicious.
