Bonding Kevlar to HDPE for Kayak Keel Guards

The author is struggling to adhere a Kevlar keel guard to their kayak made of HDPE. Current adhesives like 3M 5200 and VHB tape are not effective due to HDPE's low surface energy. The goal is to find a reliable bonding method without drilling holes for mechanical fastening.
