Understanding and addressing auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia

Schizophrenic individuals experience auditory hallucinations that are not perceivable by others. The underlying mechanisms and neural pathways that lead to these internal voices are not well understood. There is a need to investigate how the brain generates these voices and how they can be effectively managed or treated.
