Post-SSRI Sexual Dysfunction: A Persistent Unmet Need
A significant number of patients experience persistent sexual dysfunction after stopping selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) treatment. This condition, known as post-SSRI sexual dysfunction (PSSD), affects patients' quality of life and has limited treatment options. The underlying biologic pathophysiologies are not well understood, and effective treatments are lacking.
