The author seeks a unique contribution to enhance a threat detection framework using Splunk and MITRE ATT&CK, and compare it with Wazuh. The goal is to identify a practical and industry-relevant feature or research direction that can improve the detection capability, alert quality, and response time of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems. The challenge lies in developing a solution that goes beyond a standard comparison study and provides a genuinely useful and interesting contribution to the field of cybersecurity. The author is looking for suggestions that can add value to their dissertation project.
