Understanding Cortical Sensorimotor-Association Axis Development

The development of the cortical sensorimotor-association axis is governed by complex processes, but the exact mechanisms are not fully understood. A model of multinodal induction-exclusion in network development has been proposed, but further research is needed to elucidate the competing processes of induction and exclusion. Elucidating these processes could help address current limitations in understanding cortical development.
