The Photonic Computing Revolution: Can Light Replace Electronics for Information Processing?
What if we could make computers that think with light instead of electricity? Photonic computing promises to overcome the fundamental limits of electronic processors by using photons (particles of light) to carry and process information. Light travels faster than electrical signals, generates less heat, and can carry much more information through techniques like wavelength multiplexing.
