Create AI with Theory of Mind

Develop AI systems that can understand that other agents (humans and AI) have beliefs, desires, intentions, and knowledge that may differ from their own. Theory of mind is a fundamental aspect of human social intelligence that allows us to predict and understand others' behavior by modeling their mental states. Current AI systems lack this sophisticated understanding of others' minds, limiting their ability to engage in complex social interactions, negotiate, collaborate, or even deceive when appropriate. This challenge requires advances in cognitive modeling, social reasoning, and understanding of human psychology.
