Solve Quantum Scalability
Develop techniques for scaling quantum computers from current hundreds of qubits to millions of qubits required for solving real-world problems. Current quantum computers are limited to relatively small numbers of qubits, but solving practically important problems will require quantum computers with millions of qubits. Scaling challenges include maintaining quantum coherence across large systems, implementing efficient control systems, and managing the complexity of large quantum circuits. Success would enable quantum computers to tackle problems of practical importance and justify the massive investments in quantum technology.
