Achieve Persistent AR World Mapping

Create AR systems that maintain a persistent, shared map of the entire world with millimeter precision, enabling AR content to be placed anywhere and persist for anyone to see. Current AR tracking is limited to small areas and doesn't persist between sessions. Global persistent AR would create a shared AR layer over the entire physical world where digital content has permanent locations. This challenge involves developing worldwide SLAM systems, cloud-based mapping, and precise localization technology. Success would enable a persistent AR layer where digital content becomes part of the physical world, fundamentally changing how we interact with our environment.
