Resolve Immune Tolerance Paradox
Immune systems must tolerate beneficial substances while attacking harmful ones, yet this balance often fails, causing allergies, autoimmunity, or immunodeficiency. This challenge involves understanding and controlling immune tolerance mechanisms. Barriers include tolerance mechanism complexity, individual variation, environmental factors, and therapeutic intervention challenges. Without resolving immune tolerance, allergic diseases will continue rising, autoimmune diseases will persist, and immune balance will remain difficult to maintain. Success could prevent allergies and autoimmune diseases, restore immune balance, optimize immune tolerance, and create immune systems that perfectly distinguish beneficial from harmful while eliminating tolerance-related diseases.
