Unusual Fungal Growth Response to Antifungal Media

The Pichia sp. fungus exhibits an unexpected growth surge and morphology change at high concentrations of cycloheximide, an antifungal agent. This phenomenon is observed in all replicates at the highest concentration, but not at lower concentrations. The cause of this unusual response is unknown.
