Limited Analytical Robustness in Social and Behavioural Sciences
The social and behavioural sciences face a challenge in ensuring the analytical robustness of their findings. A study of 100 claims found that only 34% of reanalyses closely matched the original results, and 74% reached the same conclusion. This reveals a limitation in the field, highlighting the need to address analytical uncertainty. Improving analytical robustness is essential to increase confidence in research findings.
