Restrictive Drone No-Fly Zones for Journalists
A Minnesota photojournalist is facing a 3,000 foot restriction on flying near DHS assets, which is being challenged on First Amendment grounds. This restriction limits the ability of journalists to film and report on activities near Department of Homeland Security assets. The restriction is seen as an impediment to freedom of the press and public information. The journalist, Rob Levine, is suing the FAA over this no-fly zone.
