Understanding and addressing slow wave–spindle coupling in neurodegeneration
Research indicates that slow wave–spindle coupling during deep sleep is associated with amyloid-beta levels linked to neurodegeneration in older adults. This relationship suggests a potential underlying mechanism for neurodegenerative diseases. Further study is needed to understand this association and its implications for treatment and prevention.
