Move from broad to specific
- 1Start with a category when you do not yet know the vocabulary.
- 2Open a topic or subtopic path.
- 3Use search once you can name the specific need.
- 4Apply a content-type filter when format matters.
- 5Remove filters when results become too narrow.
2
Read the path
Topic paths communicate where a result sits in the taxonomy. They are navigation aids, not claims that knowledge fits only one category. Cross-field work may appear through more than one path.
